FAQ

Are you a registered charity collection company?

No. We are a fundraising company, not a charity. We collect for registered charities, and we are registered with the Fundraising Regulator (see our entry).

How do the collections work?

You give away your pre-loved items and our responsibility is to recycle them and prepare them for reuse. The main aim is to keep as much clothing as possible away from landfill and incineration!

Whenever you want a collection, complete a ‘request for collection’ on the Collect4All website and we will come to pick up your items. Based on the amount and quality of the clothes collected, ECS Textiles can support charities financially. The more we collect, the more we can give!

What items do you accept?

We are happy to collect all sorts of clothes as long as they are in wearable condition: T-shirts, jumpers, scarves, jumpsuits, dresses, skirts, jeans, jackets, shoes, hats and more. Items such as jewellery, toys, electrical and other household items are also welcome if they are in good working order.

How can I book a collection?

Just go to our Collect4All website, fill in some simple details and choose the type of collection. We will then contact you as soon as possible to agree a day that suits you, and come to pick your items up.

What if I am not at home on a collection day?

Don’t worry. Leave your bags outside. When you book, tell us where in the ‘Anything we should know?’ box, so our driver can find them.

Which areas do you collect from?

Most areas in the North East. Enter your postcode on Collect4All to check, or call us on 0330 380 1125.

Is there a minimum number of bags to donate?

There is no minimum number of bags to donate. It is your choice how many bags you want to donate.

Can I change a collection I have booked?

Unfortunately, you cannot make changes to a request on the Collect4All website. However, if you have any enquiries, please contact us on 0330 380 1125

What is ‘Collect4All’?

Collect4All is our website for booking collections. It is a greener, more innovative way to collect. The usual way starts with thousands of plastic bags pushed through doors. Then drivers drive around the streets looking for full bags. This way of collecting has a big environmental impact, from making and shipping the bags to the carbon emissions of the vans. That is why we created Collect4All.

When you book on Collect4All, we reduce that impact: there is no need to make and post thousands of plastic bags, and the driver knows the exact address to collect from.
